Cycling

Limpsfield Common is criss-crossed by bridle paths perfect for exploring by bike. So why not head over to The Carpenters Arms by pedal power for a thirst-quenching drink or a bite to eat? You can be sure you'll have earned it!

Route 1

A delightful, 15 mile beginners cycle route from The Carpenters Arms through stunning countryside to Chiddingstone for a quick drink at The Castle Inn and back again.

Route 4

This 36-mile route, from our friends at Oxted Cycling Club, takes in some stunning views – the perfect excuse to stop for a breather or two. It is quite hilly, but if you use your gears correctly and don’t try to race up hills, you will be okay!

Route 2

A scenic route of approximately 5 miles from The Carpenters Arms to Botley Hill Farmhouse via mostly quiet lanes with a little traffic and some hilly sections.

Route 3

A 20-mile ride via mostly quiet lanes, there are some hills so do rest at one of our sister pubs, The Wheatsheaf at Bough Beech or The Castle Inn at Chiddingstone.

We hope you enjoy these cycle routes.  Please do take every care and, before heading off, why not take a look at Oxted Cycling Club’s Safety Policy for cycling guidance and advice - http://oxtedcc.org/safety/ We cannot accept any responsibility for your safety. Cyclists use these routes entirely at their own risk.
