Westerham Brewery

About Westerham Brewery

Westerham Brewery Company was established in 2004 by Robert Wicks, and brought brewing back to the historic town of Westerham nearly 40 years after the closure of the famous Black Eagle Brewery. While reviving some of Black Eagle's much-loved flavours, Westerham Brewery Company uses traditional brewing techniques to create a wide range of beers to suit all tastes.

The award-winning ales and lagers are made with water from a borehole sunk into the Lower Greensand Ridge, along with English barley, more than 90% Kent-grown hops and yeast re-cultured from frozen samples deposited by Black Eagle Brewery before its closure. This combination of local ingredients and time-honoured recipes has put Westerham firmly back on the brewing map, and the brewery has ensured it leaves a lasting legacy through its support of various charitable and environmental initiatives.
